When You Should Get Focus T25

So does T25 work? I'm going to be honest, Focus T25 will help you drop weight fast, however, there are some things I found with the workout you need to be aware of!

First off,  if you are a beginner to intermediate, you will lose weight very quickly! If you are looking to lose 20+ pounds, there is no better way than to do Focus T25 for 10 weeks. I've never heard of a program that will have you drop the fat quicker than T25, in just 25 minutes a day. It simply works!

For beginners, it might just be the perfect workout because it comes with one of the best low impact modifiers out there! The entire time, you can watch Tania as she modifies every movement so you can get the same high-intensity workout, with low impact movements. This works great if you have bad knees or a lot of weight to lose and need to start from ground zero.

Focus T25 is an amazing workout if you are a beginner looking to drop 30 to 50 pounds and you haven't been exercising. This is honestly the go-to workout I recommend my friends and my clients if they haven't done a thing yet, and want to drop weight quickly. There is no faster way in less time to drop 30 to 50 pounds.

When You Shouldn't Get T25

However, if you are already in mediocre to decent shape and just need to drop 10 to 20 pounds, and looking to some nice muscle definition, Focus T25 is not your workout. Focus T25 is primarily a cardio workout with some strength training. If you want to lose the last 10 to 20 pounds, then what you actually need is P90X3. P90X3 focuses more on muscle building to lose the fat, which gives you a more toned, muscular look.

Now if you totally hate Tony Horton, and love Shaun T, then you definitely want to get your hands on the Focus T25 Gamma Series. The Gamma series adds much more weight and strength training to your 25-minute workouts. If you are an intermediate, you could do the 10 weeks of Focus T25 Alpha and Beta, and then move onto Gamma.

How long is Focus T25?

Let's get into some details. First, Focus T25 takes only 25 minutes per day. The whole point of Focus T25 is to cram an hour's worth of a workout into 25 minutes. In order for Shaun T to make this happen, he had to figure out a way to get people to “focus” for 25 minutes. That is why the program is called Focus T25. This new Shaun T workout program is also only 5 days a week. On Saturday you check your progress with a quick update on your stats, and Sunday you do some stretching. There is an optional “doubles” Friday, where you do two workouts on Friday's. The Focus T25 Review was needed because people kept asking more and more questions about T25. Is it really just 25 minutes a day? YES!

What is the Focus T25 Schedule?

There are two phases to Focus T25 workout schedule. Alpha is month one of preparing your body with the foundation. Alpha teaches how to work, focus, and move your body. Beta is month two, and all about the core. Core strength, core speed, core moves.

Who is Focus T25 For?

When I wrote this Focus T25 review, I wanted to make sure it was clear that Focus T25 is for those people that are looking for Insanity results, but only working out 25 minutes a day. It is for everyone. Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, it doesn't matter you can do this workout.

In fact, someone asked during a live Beachbody chat with Shaun T “I am a 60 year old grandma who is out of shape. Can I do Focus T25?” and Shaun T said absolutely. Is Focus T25 Like Insanity?

Focus T25 is not like Insanity. Focus T25 is a completely focused workout where you will be focusing on specific muscles and body parts hard. Now if you are more asking, is Focus T25 fun like Insanity, I would have to say it is more fun than Insanity because you will be covered in sweat, but at the same time you will only need to work for 25 minutes. Focus T25 is not easy, but it also isn't a 60 minute or 90-minute workout like Insanity or P90X. If you can focus for 25 minutes, you can do Focus T25

What I liked about Les Mills COMBAT

My goal to find a workout that was exciting and engaging was more than fulfilled. The workouts didn’t seem like work; by week two, I was looking forward to them.

The trainers, Dan Cohen and Rachael Newsham, are very motivational. Beachbody must have outlined the common mistakes that people make during these workouts because it almost seemed like the trainers are in the room with me (a little creepy at times. I expected their attitudes to be a little more one-track and intense than they are. I would describe them more as inspirational rather than demanding.

The music was an unexpected quality that I liked. Not that I drive around listening to MMA soundtracks, but the moves are perfectly choreographed to fit the music background. If you ask anyone who trains seriously, this really helps.

Of course, the most important aspect of any workout program is the results. I wasn’t exactly out-of-shape before I began the routines, but I had gained some pudge due to taking two months off of regular exercise. The extra weight was almost shredded by the end of week one and by week three, I was back to my body fat percentage that I had achieved after completing P90x.

I would recommend Les Mills COMBAT to anyone who has trouble sticking to exercise programs, wants to burn a lot of calories or wants to improve muscular reaction time. If you love MMA, that’s an added bonus. Quick results are another positive aspect of this workout (and most other Beachbody programs). With the fair price and the shorter duration of 60 days, I’d say that this program appeals to a wider audience than most conventional workout systems.

Well there you have it folks, TurboFire! I thought I would end the review with a video of me doing one of my favorite workouts, the TurboFire HIIT 15. I didn't want to bore you with the entire 15 minute workout so I only uploaded the last minute of a HIIT 15 workout for you to watch. Basically the way the HIIT 15 workout goes is you do three different drills, each drill you do three times, and you rest for 45 seconds in between each drill. Trust me, when I started I could barely do 1 minute, but after 90 days, I can do these all day long and burn calories faster than anything else I could be doing.

The First Few Weeks of Slim in 6

Slim in 6 is a lot more demanding than I initially expected (in a good way to be honest, I was worried it would be too relaxed).  The nutrition and lifestyle plans, if they are followed entirely, are pretty straight forward to follow, and the exercise routines are very entertaining, fun, but challenging enough that you will be sweating!  The moves are “easy” in the sense that anyone can do Slim in 6, but the workout is TOUGH.  I wasn’t able to follow the Slim in 6 moves all the way in my first week, but I was still noticing results after week one!

By the end of week two, I lost five pounds, I was eating healthier and I was transitioning into an all-around healthier lifestyle.  The soreness was starting to fade, and I was noticing more defined thigh muscles.

By the end of the six-week program, I lost 22 pounds, which was slightly lower than the 25 that is predicted on the Beachbody website, but 22 is still an amazing accomplishment!  Some of the reviews I read say that the results are inconsistent, but for me, it was a gradual improvement from day one.

I would recommend Slim in 6 to people who have trouble starting or committing to intense workout routines.  Slim in 6 is no walk in the park, but it is much shorter than 60-day or 90-day programs.  I like short-term goals; it makes it easier to follow through.  Since I finished the program, several of my friends tried it.  The ones who stuck through yielded excellent results, and I am sure the same would happen to anybody who commits to the system.

It seems everyone wants to know, which workout is better? Focus T25, or Insanity. Personally I believe they are both amazing programs, and it really depends what you want to do! Some people like biking, and some people like running. Some people like both! This is the case here. Simply put, Insanity and Focus T25 are two totally different workout programs that can achieve the same results.

Let me compare the two for you so you can get a better feeling for what the differences are.

Insanity is a 60 day workout program that is totally insane. In month one, you do 30 to 60 minute workouts for 4 weeks. You then get a recovery week, which is followed by the start of Max Interval training witch is sure to kick your ass. Many of my friends were looking for a great workout that took less time, but still got some amazing results. Hence, I tried Insanity: The Asylum and wrote up a quick review for you.

What is Insanity: The Asylum

Ok, let's get started with the Insanity: The Asylum review. Insanity Asylum is a 30-day exercise system that develops coordination, power, agility and speed. You can look at the Insanity Asylum Calendar here. The trainer, Shaun T., is a former track-and-field star and is probably my favorite among the Beachbody workout guides. He is very motivational and keeps you engaged in every move.

The exercises in Insanity Asylum are intended to help professional athletes improve performance and get back into shape before competition begins. The program involves six workouts:

  1. Relief (25 minutes): stretching and flexibility exercises
  2. Strength (50 minutes): power and strength routine that involves cross-training with resistance exercises and free weights
  3. Back to Core (45 minutes): hamstring, core and glute exercises that improve explosiveness

First Week with Insanity: The Asylum

I was immediately attracted to Insanity Asylum because it involved the cardiovascular intensity of Insanity, but was adapted for the professional athlete; it was exactly what I was looking for! With a great balance of strength, cardio and flexibility moves, I knew on week one that this program would produce well-rounded results that are ideal for performance.

I particularly enjoyed the Game Day routine. Although it is longer and more intense than the others, the cross-training moves were exactly what I was missing in P90x and Insanity. The Back to Core workout was also helpful for me since it targets the parts of the body that are most used in surfing.

For me, the cost of a gym membership is not enough to motivation to get off the couch. I tried that, but because I had so little direction of how and what to exercise, my commitment was short-lived. Personal training sessions are incredibly overpriced, especially if you hire through a gym.

Beachbody programs were my solution. They are amazingly inexpensive in comparison to other options, and they simplify the process because all I have to do is tell myself to “press play every day.” I have completed a number of their exercise systems, including P90x and Insanity, but Les Mills PUMP is by far my favorite because it fulfills my particular requirements for a workout program and is not very time-consuming.

A Little About Les Mills PUMP

Les Mills PUMP promises rapid weight loss and effective strength training with the trademarked Rep Effect. The idea is to use light weights at a higher repetition rate to tone muscles, burn calories and develop a lean physique.

One downside to Les Mills PUMP is the cost. I paid $245 for the program, which is a little more than most Beachbody exercise systems. However, when you consider the cost of a gym membership and the high rate of people who follow through with Beachbody workout programs, this is an unbeatable value.

Les Mills PUMP incorporates seven workout routines:

  • PUMP Challenge (20 minutes): resistance exercises that provide effective strength training
  • PUMP and Burn (30 minutes): engages several muscle groups and burns a high level of calories

The first few weeks of Les Mills PUMP

I started noticing results after week one. My entire body was sore and I was sweating buckets, even though I wasn’t exactly out-of-shape before I started the program. I particularly enjoyed the Flow video because it was a welcomed break from the other highly intense workout routines.

Even though my friends and family know I’m sort of a health nut, they noticed my results, and a few of them even starting using the program.

I would recommend Les Mills PUMP to anyone who has a lot of time-consuming responsibilities, but wants to shed weight in a short period of time. You may also like the clever combination of cardio, strength and flexibility exercises. I believe that compared to other Beachbody programs, Les Mills PUMP is a good match for a wide audience.

If I was interested in a product or service, I was a lot less likely to buy it if I saw it advertised on a biased, misleading infomercial. The case was no different when I first saw the commercial for Beachbody Turbo Jam.

However, after my friend told me how much fun the program was and I saw her results firsthand, I decided to give it a go. I decided to write this Turbo Jam review because I am tired of seeing the biased, fluff-filled reviews that pack the internet. Also, I got incredible results with Turbo Jam!

Why I chose Turbo Jam

Like I said before, my friends recommendation and her results are the main reasons that I tried Turbo Jam. Another motivation was the fact that I have never been able to stick to a workout routine for longer than a week. It’s even harder now that I have two kids and a full-time job, but I would soon discover that working out is easy when you love what you’re doing!

Turbo Jam combines body sculpting, dancing and kickboxing exercises to produce an active, somewhat intense exercise system. The trainer is Chalene Johnson. She is very motivational and knows what to say and when to say it to keep you on track and performing the moves correctly.

The Turbo Jam Challenge Pack includes Turbo Sculpting Gloves that add a little more challenge to the exercises. I wasn’t even considering using them during my first week, but by the end of week two, my entire perspective had changed. I started seeing results, which motivated me to work harder. My diet also changed for the better. I went from eating fast food at least four times a week to not eating fried food at all. I was reading books about veganism and vegetarianism. I had a whole new hobby and it was making me healthier and happier. Everybody noticed! I even added Shakeology since it was included in the price of the workout program. While I had heard a lot of hype about Shakeology so I was skeptical, it was amazing!

It wasn’t just a workout program I was completing; it was a new lifestyle that I was starting.

I made the mistake of not taking before-and-after pictures, but nevertheless, my results are incredible. By the end of the program, I lost 38 pounds and I was back to my weight when I graduated high school. Even a few of my co-workers are using the program. How I Achieved My 2012 Fitness Goal, One Step at a Time

Fitness and clean eating are some of the most major challenges of adult life. Conquering body image and resisting negative foods and habits to create a fit, healthy body is difficult to accomplish. I set a goal for my self to get into the best fitness condition I could in 2012, and I succeeded. However I don't want to share with you my struggles, and my successes. Instead I want to get to the meat and potatoes, and show you exactly how I lost nearly forty pounds in 2012 by simply following the P90X schedule. The secret to weight loss is really to follow a great exercise and diet plan. By following a good exercise and diet plan, I have seen success in weight loss and toning my body over this past year.

The first thing to remember is that you do not have to reinvent the wheel. Exercise and diet plans that had previous successful results were at the top of my radar when I started my fitness journey. When I decided to take my goal of getting fit seriously I purchased the P90X program, and then cleaned out my refrigerator.

I went out during the first week of March 2012 and purchased a healthy diet that included no saturated fats, no artificial ingredients, and no chemicals and dyes that were unnecessary additives to foods. I made sure to stick to a diet of fruits, vegetables, lean meats and whole grains. With only these choices available in my home, I had no choice but to pick something healthy to eat each day. Protein is one of the most important parts of dieting and exercising, as meats like tuna and baked chicken can help to get rid of fat and help build muscle. I followed the P90X diet exactly as specified.

I stuck to a regimen of working out at least once a day. I did a variety of exercises with the P90X workout plan, including yoga, Cardio, and strength training. These three types of exercise were rotated to work different muscle groups and to promote weight loss and muscle building at the same time. Within the first two weeks of starting a clean eating regimen and exercise program, I experienced over ten pounds of weight loss. Over the course of the first 90 days of reprogramming my body and lifestyle, I reached my goal of thirty-five pounds of weight loss. Over the course of 2012, I have now built a body I never thought I would have. All that it took to lose nearly forty pounds and develop better eating habits was making a commitment to work out my body for less than two hours a day and stick with foods that I knew would aid my body towards success. Dedication to creating a better lifestyle is the only way to achieve success in fitness and health. The benefits of the choice I made in 2012 will have lifelong, life changing consequences.
